In my time, we always had to worry that someone would do racist chants (i.e. attack the Chinese) in student protests.
we were usually suspicious that some of these people were paid by security services/police/military etc

@gombang we learned to tell supposedly by their shoes and haircut. Hell, I used to be warned off from walking too close the US embassy in my sneakers because that fits the profile lolol
@cendawanita yeah, also sometimes it was easy to tell because they wanted us to know they were associated with the police/military. they were proud of it 🙃
